Beginner Book

In one of my reading rooms, it's easy to cuddle up with my two Grandsons and read a good book to them. One book that I discovered in my collection is a Dr. Seuss book. Are you familiar with "Ten Apples Up On Top"? It's a great beginner book. It's labeled "I CAN READ IT ALL BY MYSELF". The simplicity of the main theme, counting apples, is written to the point that counting is fun! Of course it helps to have 3 pals, a lion, tiger and dog grab your attention and keep it through the entire book. The illustrations by Roy McKie are cool and bright. The mixtures of red and green draw you in. It's as if you've seen these drawings before. They seem familiar, perhaps in a coloring book. If you love apples, that is eating apples, watching apples grow and yes, even counting apples, then this beginner book is for you. The writings of Dr.Seuss are wonderful. His rhymes are oh so clever. I recommend Beginner Books to you and your family. The concept of blending words and pictures encourages young children to read all by themselves. These books are now used in schools and libraries throughout the English-speaking world. "Ten Apples Up On Top!" is a good book, a great choice! Plus an affordable price, $4.97
